About Emma
Hi, I'm Emma! For over 4 years, I've worked as a math tutor, helping students build the confidence and skills they need for a smoother experience in school. I currently study Psychology and Communication at the University of Illinois, with a minor in Spanish, a background that shapes how I connect with and teach every student I work with.
My Teaching Philosophy: I approach every student with the belief that they're capable of real success in math. Often, what's missing isn't ability, but the right kind of support to bring it out. My job isn't just to teach formulas; it's to find the approach that makes math click for each individual student.
What Makes Bijoy Tutoring Different: I offer a truly personal learning experience. Many of my clients have continued working with me for years, and I see that as a direct reflection of the relationships I build with their students. I take the time to listen and shape each learning plan around the individual, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
With a psychology background, I pay close attention to how students think and what motivates them, so we build not just math skills, but lasting confidence.
