Bijoy Tutoring ("I," "me," or "my") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect through this website, why I collect it, and how it's handled.
When you fill out a form on this site (the contact form or the review form), I collect:
This website itself doesn't collect payment information; there's no payment field anywhere on the site. Payments are handled separately through Zelle or Venmo. As part of receiving a payment through those platforms, I may see basic information they display, such as your name and the payment amount.
This site uses a few outside services to work:
Your information passes through these services only to make the site function, not for any other purpose.
I retain the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or provide tutoring services, or until you ask me to delete it, whichever comes first.
I take reasonable precautions to protect the information you share with me. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I can't guarantee absolute security.
Many of my tutoring clients are school-age students. Forms on this site are intended to be filled out by a parent or guardian on behalf of their student, not by children directly. I don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information directly, contact me at emma@bijoys.com and I'll remove it.

By booking a session with me, whether arranged through email or text, you agree to the following:
Bijoy Tutoring provides private, one-on-one math tutoring for students from elementary through high school, including SAT math preparation. All sessions are conducted remotely (online).
Sessions are 30 minutes long and typically scheduled on a weekly basis. I ask that cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session whenever possible. That said, there's no charge for a session as long as the cancellation is communicated before the session's start time, via text or email.
Sessions are $40 per 30 minutes. For longer sessions, the rate increases proportionally (for example, a 60-minute session is $80). Payment is made via Zelle or Venmo only. I typically send invoices on a biweekly basis.
By submitting a review through this site, you agree that it may be displayed publicly after I've reviewed it. I reserve the right not to publish a review, or to remove one at any time.
Tutoring services are provided in good faith to support student learning, but I can't guarantee specific grade outcomes, test scores, or results, as these depend on many factors outside a tutor's control.
